Upper Merion Area High School is a comprehensive public high school serving students in grades 9 through 12. The High School is proud of its cutting edge technological infrastructure, which includes a state of the art library/media center. The professional staff of 120 is committed to providing students with a challenging, well-rounded program. The Upper Merion Area High School is fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Secondary Schools. Approximately 1150 students are enrolled in our school. Upper Merion Area High School offers a rigorous, well-rounded program of academics, athletics and student activities. Over seventy percent of the student body participates in an extracurricular activity.

Kutztown University Announces Degrees

Kutztown University has conferred degrees on nearly 1,400 students during the winter, spring and summer terms. Kutztown University announces degree conferment twice a year, once in the winter and once in the summer. Commencement exercises are held in May and December; however, students finish their requirements for graduation throughout the entire year. The following students have been awarded degrees since the winter 2015 announcement. Students who have requested privacy (FERPA) are not listed publicly.

At 11 a.m., Saturday, May 16, 514 graduates took center stage for Elizabethtown College's 112th Commencement. The class of 2015 boasts 77 earning their Master of Science degrees, 126 with Bachelor of Arts degrees, 282 with Bachelor of Science degrees, 15 who have earned their Bachelor of Music degrees and 14 with bachelor's degrees in social work. Elizabethtown College Theatre performs the Oscar Wilde play, "The Importance of Being Earnest," from February 12 through 22, 2015. Oscar Wilde is known for his portrayal of the human condition in Victorian times, and none of his stories is more clever than the outlandish "The Importance of Being Earnest," about two men who have fallen for two ladies who have their hearts set on marrying a man named Ernest.

Lebanon Valley College is recognizing its high-achieving first-year students for receiving scholarships from the College. Among the incoming class of 448 students, 63 percent rank in the top 30 percent of their high school class; 12 students were valedictorians; 52 percent of students earned a scholarship worth half-tuition; and five students received the full-tuition Allwein Scholarship.
