Upper Merion Area High School is a comprehensive public high school serving students in grades 9 through 12. The High School is proud of its cutting edge technological infrastructure, which includes a state of the art library/media center. The professional staff of 120 is committed to providing students with a challenging, well-rounded program. The Upper Merion Area High School is fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Secondary Schools. Approximately 1150 students are enrolled in our school. Upper Merion Area High School offers a rigorous, well-rounded program of academics, athletics and student activities. Over seventy percent of the student body participates in an extracurricular activity.

RPI Men's DMR Wins National Championship

The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's distance medley team of Colin Smith, Jason Hall, Noah Falasco and Ben Fazio are National Champions after posting a time of 9:56.42 at the NCAA Meet. The squad defeated 11 others in becoming the first relay team in school history to win an NCAA title.

Five From RPI Headed to Track & Field Nationals

The NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Track & Field and Cross Country Committee announced the participants in the 2017 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) will be represented by five individuals competing in three men's events. The national championship meet takes place on Friday and Saturday in Naperville, Ill.

Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its fall 2016 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.

Kutztown University Announces Degrees

Kutztown University has conferred degrees on nearly 700 students during the summer and fall terms. Kutztown University announces degree conferment twice a year, once in the winter and once in the summer. Commencement exercises are held in May and December; however, students finish their requirements for graduation throughout the entire year. The cumulative grade point average necessary for honor distinction is: with honor (cum laude) 3.40; with high honor (magna cum laude) 3.60 and with highest honor (summa cum laude) 3.80. The following students have been awarded degrees since the summer 2016 announcement. Students who have requested privacy (FERPA) are not listed publicly.

Frank O'Hara Award for Academic Achievement

Students receive The University of Scranton's Frank O'Hara medal, which were given to the first-, second- and third-year Scranton students with the highest grade-point averages in the Kania School of Management, the Panuska College of Professional Studies and the College of Arts and Sciences for the 2015-16 academic year. The awards, named in honor of the late Frank O'Hara who served the University for 53 years in various administrative positions.

E.A.T. Research Group Students Present Projects at Conference

Four students from Lebanon Valley College's E.A.T. (Engage, Analyze, Transform) Research Group traveled to the University of Toronto-Scarborough in June to present their research at the annual meeting of the Association for the Study of Food and Society (ASFS), the Agriculture, Food and Human Values Society (AFHVS), and the Canadian Association of Food Studies (CAFS).
